Policy and Refund

Low Enrollment Cancellation

Although we make every effort to promote classes scheduled in our center, BestaCare reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment.  In case of a class cancellation, and student who has paid for his/her class will have the option of rescheduling into another class with priority enrollment at no charge, or may receive a full refund.

Student Transfers

At any time before a class begins,  registered student may transfer that registration to another person. Doing so will incur a $5 fee. However the transfer must be communicated to BestaCare in advance of the class or the transfer will not be granted.

Tardy Policy

Students must arrive on time and be present for the entire class to receive certification.  Students arriving more than 15 minutes late may be declined entry.  If a student arrives late and chooses not to participate, the student must communicate to the instructor or BestaCare to reschedule or they will be considered a NO-SHOW.

Student Reschedule

A student may request before a class to reschedule (ONE TIME ONLY) to any cost equivalent BestaCare Class.  There is no additional cost for this service. The student must reschedule within 30 days of original registration date.  All reschedule requests must be submitted prior to the date of their scheduled class in the form or writing, verbal phone call, or email.

Student Cancellation

A 50% cancellation fee applies to any student who cancels prior to the beginning of their scheduled class.  This policy only applies to cancellations with greater than 48 hours notice.  Any student who cancels less than 48 hours prior, or is a no call/no show, to class they will forfeit the cost of the class.  In the event of a cancellation a student does have the opportunity to reschedule for a later class one time only.

Student No-Show

With a no-show, the registration fee is forfeited altogether, meaning the student can not receive a refund.  Special exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis due to valid emergencies and other circumstances.  If a student does NOT show up to a class, and has not rescheduled, they are considered a no-show.

Emergency Cancellation

Emergencies happen, and often without notice.  If a class cancels , due to severe weather, instructor illness or injury, family emergency, or other matters considered to be emergency, registered students will receive priority enrollment in the next available class.  If there are no available classes in the following two weeks, then BestaCare will issue a full refund.

If you are taking an American Heart Association(AHA) class, it is their policy that students receive a book prior to class.  If you already have a book, then you can use your own as study material before class. Please not the book must be compliant with current AHA guidelines.  If you do not have a book, please order an eBook here.  Books must be in the students possession during class to receive their certification.
